Birds love comfort food in the winter too! As birds migrate or choose to stay in cooler climates, they need lots of protein and seeds to stay healthy and strong. A simple favorite for many species of birds is the classic peanut butter pine cone bird feeder.
What you need:
- Peanut butter
- Pine cone
- Butter knife
- Bird seed
- Ribbon or string
What you do:
- Tie a string to the bottom of the pine cone. Your feeder will hang “upside down”.
- Spread peanut butter on outside of pinecone.
- Roll pinecone in birdseed.
- Hang outdoors.
