Every year, great groups of readers, librarians and children put out their favorite books of the new year. I have always found these lists terrific sources of wonderful reading choices for checking out at the library or adding a new classic to our book shelves. This year’s choices are top notch as always, with my particular favorites being Locomotive, illustrated by Brian Floca and a new favorite, Flora & Ulysses, by one of my favorite authors, Kate DiCamillo.
