What’s grosser than gross? An erupting, oozing pumpkin! Using the classic ingredients for a home science project volcano, you can have a fun Halloween science activity for kids in no time and turn your pumpkin into an spewing eruption. This one is an annual classic at our house.
What you need:
A carved pumpkin
White vinegar
Baking soda
Food coloring
What you do:
Put about 4-6 tablespoons of baking soda into the bottom of the pumpkin.
Add drops of food coloring.
Pour some vinegar into the mix until it starts foaming.
Replace pumpkin lid and watch it erupt!
