Try this experiment so that the next time you try to explain to your children why two things don’t go together by exclaiming “Oil and water don’t mix!”, your kids will understand!
What you need:
- Clear glass
- Food Dye
- Vegetable or Olive Oil
- Water
What you do:
- Fill the glass 2/3 with water.
- Add a couple drops of food dye.
- Add oil to water.
- Stir swiftly.
- Notice that no matter how hard you stir, the oil will not mix with the water.
